Back in the habit
Game development, especially solo game development, is very difficult. Trying to balance the struggles of life (I'm getting over a breakup) and work with putting out one's thoughts and philosophy in game form is a recipe for disaster.
Still, I'm tinkering away at this. I hope to finish the final act within the next two months.
If it's not apparent, Undertale was a big influence on me, although I'm no Toby Fox. I'm a first time game developer whose interests lie more in storytelling and characters than gameplay.. If you decide to take a chance on this game, please know that I've tried to design a system where your choices matter and the character behavior will be determined by choices the player makes. That's vague and a bit cliche these days (how many games advertise about the importance of choices? Far too many), but I'm putting as much of myself into this game as I can.
These devlogs are usually reserved for updates about the game. The only update I have right now is I'm still plugging away at it.
